Glass is a perfect storage solution for food stufff, because it is chemically stable – meaning it won’t chemically react with food, thus won’t leach toxic substances like heavy metals of micro-plastic particles into your food. The material inputs to their manufacturing process also consist of up to 70% recycled glass (fun fact – glass is 100% recyclable, and endlessly recyclable because it does not deteriorate in quality or composition). Note the lids are untreated – you can seal it with natural wax (e.g. beeswax) or natural edible oil (e.g. olive oil) to preserve the wood in a non-toxic way.
