Description Grow your own culinary sprouts, with this reusable sprouting bag by Microgarden! This kit consists of a hessian sprouting bag, 50g lentil seeds and an instruction leaflet. Key benefits: Reusable and zero-waste Home-grown DIY Eliminates plastic packaging waste from store bought sprouts Economical: 50g seeds yields 300g sprouts Nutrient-dense and high protein value from plant-based source Nutrients from sprouts are easier to digest and assimilate than nutrients from whole legumes and grains Quick turn-around time: harvest sprouts in 3-5 days Educational for kids to understand how seeds grow Directions for use: Sprouting: Sterilize the bag in boiling water for 5 minutes, then line dry. Soak seeds overnight in water (8-12 hours). Rinse seeds, then place it into the sprout bag. Dip the bag (with the seeds) in water for 30 seconds, then let the water run off – the water should drain within 5 minutes. Hang the bag on a hook or window, somewhere with good airflow. Rinse the seeds twice a day. Sprouts will be ready to harvest after 3-5 days. After harvest: Turn the bag inside out. Remove all left-overs, including seeds, shells, leaves, etc. Hand-wash the bag in hot water, but do not use any soap (because this will remove the natural oils of the hessian, and may leave residue that will impact your next sprouts). From time to time, sterilize the bag by soaking it in boiling water for 5 minutes. Materials: Hessian sprouting bag with 50g lentil seeds included Packaging: Cardboard label, wood wool stuffing, plastic bag, paper instruction leaflet Country of Origin: Made in South Africa
