Description A stylish and attractive way to display plants – indoors or outdoors. These plant hangers are handmade using the traditional, age-old knotting techniques called macrame. It lends an air of sophistication while also being practical, in that it allows you to use vertical space for your plants in unlikely areas. On top of being a good, high-quality product, it is also sustainable! It’s made in South Africa from corporate branded cotton t-shirts, where the branding process left the shirt unsatisfactory and therefore the shirt would have been sent to landfill (to protect brand integrity, they cannot be sold on the second-hand market). But that is where the Upcycle team jumped in and saved the day… and the planet! They carefully removed the branding, and ripped what was left into strips of yarn, and crocheted these lovely baskets by hand. Sustainable beauty, but for the home! Note the colours are completely random, being made from waste there is little standardisation of colours and each item is unique. Please specify in the order notes if you want a specific colour combination and we’ll try to match it if it’s available, but no guarantees.
